Environmental Impact
SkyCat is the best option for green air transport available today!
With CO2 emissions expected to double by 2030, air transport has the fastest
growing carbon footprint in the world. SkyCat is the only aviation solution
that bucks that trend burning less than a third of the fuel consumed by
conventional aircraft and SkyCat’s CO2 output can be reduced to zero.
SkyCat could be modified to fly on Hydrogen reducing CO2 output to
zero. This is not an option for conventional aircraft because the far larger and different shaped
fuel tanks required present major disadvantages. SkyCat could be
fitted with exhaust water recycling and catalytic converters that would enable
Nitrides to be stored and safely re-processed or converted.
Skycat’s optimum operating altitude is 5,000ft and not the 35,000ft of most
jet aircraft. This is important because it reduces the impact of NOX on the
atmosphere and Ozone production. The lower altitude eliminates contrail
formation and the cirrus cloud formation that can cause troposheric warming.
