Our Heritage

Hybrid Air Vehicles' 'DNA' or heritage can be found in the  extensive intellectual property it owns and the  unrivalled experience of its core team members.

Core team members have been involved in LTA development for more than 35 years and these projects have seen development and operational spending in excess of half a billion dollars. The US Navy airship program in the period 1987-95 provided core team members with the opportunity to develop and test totally new systems, and subsequent developments have advanced the technology significantly.  

Hybrid Air Vehicles maintains its own portfolio of proprietary LTA intellectual property and know-how which includes all such property that was in the ownership of  ATG and SkyCat Group Limited.

1995 - Westinghouse exit defence business to concentrate on Media / Communications

ATG - First Four Years (1996 to 2000)
• Design, Manufacture and Certify a new hull for the SKS600B • Sold and assembled 2 for UK and US clients. • Major study programs undertaken for SSI (USA) and IHI (Japan) on LTA programs.	• DTI CARAD program successfully completed – Aero Diesel Engines. • Commenced development of ATG product Range • Completed Phoenix UAV re-engine demo program for BAE Systems
